The staff and children here at Fulwell Infants are enjoying two exciting weeks with science at the heart of children’s learning.

The focus is on developing children’s scientific knowledge and understanding together with their understanding of predicting, hypothesising and ensuring that experiments are ‘fair’.

They are working hard to record their science in different ways with written experiments, tables, and illustrations all being evident in their books.

We have been supported by parents who volunteered to come in to school and led sessions with the children.  THANK YOU to them all for their invaluable contributions.

The ‘Life Centre’ in Newcastle provided us with a planetarium and ‘star gazing’.

Mr. Nesbitt from Monkwearmouth led a ‘bubbles and bangs’ assembly which generated lots of questions and offered many explanations engaging both staff and children.

Our thanks to them all.
