Fulwell Infant School Academy is part of Jigsaw Learning Trust
- To use the semi-open plan building to full potential by developing a sharing, respectful and co-operative ethos with regard to people and resources.
Maximising the use of space with particular regard to:
- the range and amount of furniture
- the organisation of resources
- class management and organisation - To build up a wide range of educational resources and to maintain stimulating 2D and 3D display within a well ordered, well maintained building.
- To promote a high standard of behaviour in school.
- To develop a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum through which the demands of the National Curriculum can be met.
- To provide opportunity for experiential learning.
- To promote initiative and independence and encourage children to become increasingly more responsible for their own learning.
- To use the local environment as a stimulus to learning.
- To encourage a “Parents as Partners” philosophy and a positive working relationship with governors.
- To develop links with the community, including local schools, nurseries, playgroups, churches, libraries etc.
- To encourage the professional development of all staff.
